I'd definitely want to display a carousel horse if I had one, but space is tight here too, and I'd have to figure out which piece of furniture I wanted to get rid of to do so. They're really more suited for restaurants or offices, so I would probably keep it in the garage too. How long have you had it and where did you get it? Do you know anything about its history?
