I at least considered the military at one point. Something which I doubt you ever did. My test scores were well above what they were looking for in candidates.


They don't refuse admission because of high test scores. In my son's case, they tried to push him to more intellectually demanding MOSs (which weren't what he wanted to do), and they commonly remind him he can have his choice of MOSs anytime he wants to change and that they have never seen scores like these. But they don't turn you away.

And you're right, when I was young I never considered it and I regret it. I would do it today in a second, unfortunately, that is not an option.

But I noticed you, like me, didn't participate. And there is no way in hell Parsons, Tejek or Al would fight for the freedoms they have in this country. It simply would not happen. They do not have sufficient appreciation of their freedom to make it worth fighting for to them.
