I think there is a danger to McCain if he uses a story of such a deeply personal nature. People are naturally curious about why a very similar story was previously expressed by Solzynitzen <sp> . Why did McCain never talk about this for 35 years? Too personal? He has opened the door now and I think some further quesitions will be asked. I don't think it helps him to have a focus on this....it can't be proven either way, but it can cast a shadow on his credibility with some people. McCain has a TV ad out now on this very event...he is the one claiming its absolute authenticiy. He has the most to lose or gain from it.
