Without going back in memory to count the number of these I've purchased over the years, the number has to be at least 6 or 8. All were "clean" (no dents or major dings) inside and out. I found rental cars (and most lease cars) are maintained pretty much by the book. This certainly has been the case for me. My current car showed signs of neglected wheel alignment, which I didn't realize for a couple months after I bot it. Just for safety's sake, I put on 4 new tires and had it realigned and balanced. Otherwise, I put them in for an oil change when I buy them, then maintain them every 3000 miles. I have never had a major problem with any of them. A couple of them were driven well over 120K miles before we sold them. The fun part of doing this is the realization that I pay just about HALF the MSRP of a new car. New cars are NOT worth twice what I pay!
