A Lincoln couple found dead in their home Monday afternoon were apparently victims of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Officers were called to the 3500 block of North 72nd Street around 2:40 p.m. after a relative discovered the bodies of 30-year-old Brandon Grueber and his wife 31-year-old Angela Grueber.

Capt. David Beggs said they are still searching for the source of the carbon monoxide. Two vehicles were in the garage, but neither engine was running.

The couple's dog was found alive and taken to a veterinarian for treatment
