High levels of carbon monoxide at a local apartment complex sent at least two people to the hospital today.

It happened just after midnight at the Embassy Apartments at 29th and Gage Boulevard.

Besides the two people taken to the hospital, four others were treated at the scene.

The Topeka Fire Department ventilated 14 apartments until the CO level was back down to normal.

It appears a boiler in the basement is to blame.
