You have no idea how soothing this thread is to me. It is like a cool compress on my political wounds. For the first time in my life I have encountered a whole group of people not only who are logical and honest, but compassonate. I have fought the neo cons, racists, bigots, sexists and homophobs and jingoists my whole life and am a bit nuts and battle weary from the experience. To know such people as the ones on this thread even exist gives me such great comfort.
