Your numbers don't quite add up!

But lets not argue that point. Just take the situation in which the total number of Intel sold processors increases marginally but the mix is skewed toward that below $1000 PC market.

At that end of the market Intel's profit margin is zilch. Presto. Intel still retains market share dominance but makes less money on what it sells.

Maybe you get the picture.
