There you go. Different times, different standards. Pilots were literally daredevils back then out of necessity. "Reliable" back then meant the engine started on the tarmac. It was much more dangerous flying a "simple" training exercise in an old 1958 prop plane than landing on a modern-day carrier today.

To criticize McCain for being a bad pilot is a really chickens--t thing to do, but I guess for Ted and the Swift-fakes, I guess anything goes when it comes to getting revenge for Kerry.
