yaacov and freeus hello. think coke will continue to grow in double digits (if not at 20%) for the next couple of years. should the economy slow in the next five years and/or interest rates rise, you could always sell your coke and get more long bonds. agree with freeus that this isn't the ideal moment to buy coke because of the turmoil in the market the last few days. on the other hand if coke takes a significant further hit on monday or as the week progresses, you could interpret that as a buying opportunity. as i still want to sell more of my coke, i'm personally hoping that the stock will hit 60 again very soon. i believed before goizueta's death that coke would pop a bit this week but though the transition to new ceo will be smooth there could be a further dip related to goizueta's death. i'm betting though on a rise in share-price in a week or so myself. i want to add that i don't believe in bonds as an investment but as a security blanket. I have just enough money in bonds to pay off my house mortgage. all my life i have invested everything in stocks and i'm seeing a really big payoff now. as far as i'm concerned, the risk is worth it. in the crash of '87 i lost 50% but since then my money has tripled and quadrupled.
