[2.2Mbps = Westell?]

Pat,

I share your & Bill's hope that WSTL/AMTX will be named for the BC roll-out, but wanted to sound a note of caution--namely for the reason you previously mentioned--that is, if expectations are high and WSTL/AMTX is not chosen, the stock will fall. If expectations are low, it may still fall, but less so. This is my concern, I believe that the 2.2Mbps refers to the successful trials of WSTL ADSL/RADSL (and that BC's CRTC petition had been written with this data in mind). However, it is plausible that a solution other than 2.2Mbps has been chosen and yet 2.2 lingers as BC's "official"conservative results of what ADSL can do. Hopefully BC has enough perfectionists in its ranks to prevent this scenario, but it is quite convceivable for many companies that I know.

BTW, Amati heading north to Ottawa on Monday is positive, but I do give weight to the cautionary tidbits you've heard.

Here's to Tuesday,

Greg
