Hi Mike, you ask some great questions, and I would also like to know the answers...especially the college related one. I'm still shaking after reading the two articles Tim posted from IBD and NRO on "Like Father, Like Son," the Obama situation. And actually was thinking of our children and grandchildren while I wrote my reply.

It truly in incomprehensible to me that we as a country, are actually debating on voting for this Marxist/Socialist mindset ...

Our kids need to have the same or better opportunities that we had as children....the freedom to try to make something of ourselves, to learn, become educated as much as possible, and to provide for ourselves while helping those who need our help.

If we think we have troubles with the Congress now, just wait till the time we have the Presidency, House and Senate all Democrats. The plans I have seen so far from Obama will destroy this country as we know it.

And re the Olympics....I just peaked at them...I am always saddened to see how little attention is paid to the individual kids who have worked so hard to even be on the team....and rather how much the shallow broadcasters are when they constantly compare the number of medals won by each country... It's not a race between countries. It is a contest between talented young individuals who compete against themselves in their chosen field.
