agree, the invasion in afghanistan to root out Osama and Al QUeda was certainly justified, too bad the White House then pulled out almost half of the special forces just as we had a bead on Osama . Then we sent these troops to bases near Iraq months before the Iraq invasion and used locals to find Osama . The locals knew where he was but wouldn't get him. We were fools and culturally unaware or we would have just used our own men. As a result and a further reluctance to put more people on the ground there , the Taliban has regrouped and our losses there are now much higher than Iraq when you compare troop strength. The French just lost ten men in a battle not that far from Kabul.

We have been in Afghanistan almost 7 years.
