If you mean VP nominee, I don't think so either. Perhaps he thinks that his role as swing vote will disappear after November, which it probably will, but speaking at the Republican convention will completely alienate him from the national Democratic party. If he wants to break all ties, that's up to him, I just don't understand why he would want to do that. He could probably get a job in a McCain adminstration without going that far.
