The current management is the same old paycheck managers.
They are only interested in collecting their paychecks.
Which means break even operating results.
Even though they recorded over $1m in loss, it was just the severance cost as cash, around 250k.
They downsized the company and the expectations. Obviously they weren't talking to analysts who expected at least .04 in profit to as much as .20
This should be a private company because that's how they are managing it.

All the dreams have gone poof!.

The Novell relationship was supposed to deliver .49/share pre-split recurring revenue. Either they didn't understand their own deal or the freeware made it obsolete.

Everstream patents or Project Canoe, although not dead, is now
a cost center since they are not generating enough cash to pay for the headcount.

The original NPVR was sized at 1 week of TV shows.
Look-Back is a license agreement per Broadcaster so fewer channels. If they replace commercials they, Cable can share the revenue with the Broadcaster. Using technology to stop fast forward.

If they did not have to get an agreement with the Broadcaster
The database would be huge and streams many, they probably could not replace the Ad's and also not stop fast forward through commercials.
