Uglier news: ITC Judge Finds that SiRF Infringes Six Broadcom GPS Patents All Six Patents Asserted by Broadcom Subsidiary Found Valid, Infringed and Enforceable Background: SiRF went after Global Locate in a patent duel, depressing Global Locate's value. Global Locate was purchased by Broadcom and SiRF is getting an education in how expensive patent duels can be. Big mistakes by the management, since their mutual customers demand multiple sources. bloomberg.com
