If he had actually ran the full 100, instead of celebrating and thumping his chest in the last 15 meters, I think he would have broken 9.6. If it were me (LOL! Like I could do it in under 20 seconds!), I'd have tried to blow apart the the world record and done my best all the way through. There is no bigger stage than the Olympics, and he knew from the preliminaries that he was going to take out the world record. I have to wonder if there are drugs involved (other than ganja), but he may just be a natural phenom that is destined to smoke the sprinting world.
