The 800 too far, probably the 400 also-those fast twitch muscle fibers twitch strong but they don't twitch long. You rarely see track folk dominate more than 2 event/distances unless its a 100 meter athlete also doing the long jump and the 200.(relays don't count).
Which brings me to swimming- what is it about swimming that allows 1 person to dominate so many events ala Spitz/Phelps? Are some of those events actually redundant? I mean if track had events like the 80 meter dash, the 100,the 120, the 140, the 100 with 1 arm held up high, the 130 with 1 arm held behind your back, then maybe Bolt could get 8 or nine gold medals too.
