Coming back down to earth, Docsis 3.0 must first handle the broadcasting switched video(5 segmented files for 5 layers of composite picture) of DTV packets. DTV converter are very successful decoding DTV packets(on UHF carrier frequencies) to analog TV on VHF channel 3/4. So, it makes cableTV very easy to handle. Docsis just carry DTV data(sdTV or hdTV) to analog TV thru set-top boxes or directly to digital TV.
