Schools are the least of it in FL or Ca.

In Vallejo CA, the beat cops were making $130k, Sgts. $160k and some captains $230k. Plus 90% pensions. Up from 50% in 2000. Vallejo had to go BK to get out from under it.
Some pension in San Diego are 119%. Stay tuned for more fun in the sun.

In Palm Beach County Fl the fire capts. were over 160k with 60 of that, overtime. Overtime for salaried employees?

Salaries doubled while the population went up 20% in 8 years.
Not to mention the great increase in extra employees.

Now the private sector is really suffering and the govie jobs
still demand the money. Property values have dropped so they want to raise the rate.

Mish is right. People are mad...then again he was knocking
Arnold in Ca in a recent blog for wanting to cut jobs and salaries.
I guess he got religion.
