What people don't understand is why we went there in the first place. The rationale was too focused on WMD and that is why most people believe we're there. No WMD has been found, and they don't comprehend there are other reasons for us to be there.

I watched a lot of news conference's at that time and the only one putting that at the top of the list was Powell. In fact Bush said the main reason to invade was violating almost every UN accord. WMD was pretty much at the bottom of the list. They even had Tennant saying that they may have only limited amounts of WMD.

The press focused on WMD simply because it sold the news, and incresed ad revenues. The Dems picked up on this and tried to make it the only reason. But now I think most people know better, in fact more and more people are turning off the mainstream media. They are now only supported by a few large corparations who do not seem to understand that there are not many people watching compared to how many used to watch.
