Josh Marshall raised an important point back in April: the last Presidential aspirant who married an heiress, John Kerry, also had a prenup. That fact was used as part of a drive to emasculate him, of course. Yet the charge was unfair -- Kerry married Teresa Heinz well after both were financially established. Not so for John McCain. He wasn't well off when he married Cindy McCain. He was, to strain a metaphor, her Pool Boy, and became her kept man."
