"The 'arrogant' charge is pretty unique." No one ever bothered to call Kerry "arrogant." Or Gore for that matter. You seem to be missing the point. Arrogant is OK for a white guy running for President, thus it's not used in a disparaging way. But an arrogant black guy running for president is uppity, at least to a certain percent of the population. Maybe you are too young to understand.
