But an arrogant black guy running for president is uppity, at least to a certain percent of the population.

So, what?

Call it uppity. Call it arrogant. What's the freaking difference? *I'm* not too young to understand.

Arrogance is arrogance, whether you call it something else or not. That Obama is black does not make his arrogance acceptable.

Kerry was uppity. Gore was uppity. Both still are. Obama is uppity. Arrogant. Same thing.

Quit trying to make some kind of racial slur out of arrogance. Everyone can see that Obama has an arrogance problem. Calling it being uppity can't change that.

"Uppity" as you're using it bears a racial connotation, particularly, a black who is acting as thought he/she were "white". The term, in this day, with that meaning is totally obsolete, since racism today in this country is minimal to nearly nonexistent.
