how can you support war, period? Do you actually deny that, sometimes, war is the most humane possible solution to a problem? We could certainly have chosen to allow Hitler to have his way with the rest of the world and there would have been no need for war. If we choose to stand idly by while a Pol Pot kills millions, are we doing the right thing? If Saddam Hussein's regime is causing the deaths of 5,000 innocent Iraqis monthly, plus wreaking havoc with America's ability to defend itself, as it was, are we somehow "better off" by avoiding war? Obviously, there are times when war solves problems that can't be solved any other way. You can argue about which times those are; but to make a blanket statement of not "supporting" war is foolish. That's not to say that we, as a society, have to LIKE war. But there are times where supporting war is the best possible outcome. Iraq was one of those times.
