COSFF looks like a dead dog to me.This is the problem of basing your business in the mass market and competing directly with MSFT.I just hope COSFF doesn't go onto the pink pages so that BORL still gets paid its licence fees.

The moral of the story is that to survive, software companies have to get into niche markets that would be too much trouble for MSFT to spend money on. Let's face it if MSFT spent its dollars on R&D and marketing it would eventually have the best product.."best" from the sales viewpoint that is.

There is no doubt that MSFT has taken its eye off the Java ball. One reason may be that there are a few players and MSFT doesn't know which player to steal the ball from.

From the above BORL is well positioned. It is in the Java "niche". MSFT seems to be focusing its legal rage against SUNW and not BORL and it seems MSFT is looking at try to steal SUNW's ball rather than BORL's...let's hope so anyway.

Go BORL.
