You had better worry about democrats getting in US side if you hold domestic miners, as sans doot they will make it hot for their traditional industrial bogeymen, etc.. whilst they have to face bald facts and give all sorts of ground to domestic oil and gas, they will not wilt under 'economic pressure' from miners as that pressure does not appear to exist in the simple democratic mind.

Witness our buddy Karl MarxGuinty who wishes to sequester vast regions of Boreyehall beaver pasture from the clutches evil henchman of industry who toil in stygian dungeons to wrest murky metals from their lame cousin phaestus. And their primitivo brothers who hew the wood of the forests will be sent packing without so much as a toothpick from the selfsame region, hence safe haven to the eagle, fisher, and weasels of other stripe. Of course the present 5% harvest rate of the boreal is hardly sustainable given that most of it requires at least 150 years to regenerate. 1% would hardly be tenable. But a no-fly zone north of the Albany, given the Boreal's contribution to our economy and the devastation in our mining and forestry industry of the last few years, seems like Ostrichicide.
