If you don't want what either candidate is offering, the obvious choice is the candidate unlikely to be able to deliver.

So they will opt to remain as miserable as they are now, if they are outside the 20% who are pleased with how we are doing?

We now have the Eeyore electorate. Let's all be miserable, all the time. Nothing else is possible, evidently. Woe is us.
