The Empty O's selection of Biden of all people was the answer to our prayers, imo. Biden is hardly the poster boy for a change and hope ticket. [Or was that a hope and change ticket? Whatever.] Biden's temper and ego have created a 35 year record of gaffes and unflattering, if not downright stupid, remarks that can be harvested for effective anti-Dem advertising. Biden himself admitted that Obama was not ready to be President. [That's a hard one to explain away.] Biden is unlikely to help in any heavily contested states. Biden won't satisfy the PUMAs. Biden is also the most unappealing of all the Veep candidates on an overall basis. Too caustic. Too arrogant. I suppose Obama picked him for the latter reasons. He wants a bulldog to lash out at the opposition because the Empty O himself sounds like a whiny baby whenever he tries to do so. [I also think that Obama is privately fuming at the fact that he's not up by 20 points and has suffered some public humiliation for various bone-headed remarks. His choice of Biden suggests that he's mad as hell and ain't gonna take that anymore. He just needs some working class pants to hide behind<g>]
