really want to knock my gut down.

Spot reducing is a myth, but the connection between pot belly's and wheat is quite marked, according to Dr Davis. I have been off all wheat, corn, refined sugar, beef and pork for three weeks now. I weigh in tomorrow but I can tell I have reduced my waist in this period at least an inch and a half. Sounds like a lot, but I started at 48/50.

This "on again, off again" pattern of statin use really bothers me. I have a lot to learn about what causes it. First off, there is a lot of "folk wisdom" out there that statins are bad for you. Not true. But its like fighting GMO food. People have made their mind up.

Next, the next reason for going off seems to be muscle pain. This is almost an unavoidable side effect of using statins if you aren't ready for it. The answer, which almost no Doctors seem to tell their patients about because it hasn't been "proved," is to take CoQ10, 100 up to 300mgs, with the statin. The other is to stop the statin periodically for a week or two every three months.

But statins do reduce the rate of growth of coronary plaque by about a third. And that's a huge benefit.
