I´ve just read a piece about carmakers in trouble: Now they want a goverment subsidy in the B range to support a loan for energy efficient developments...*) one asks, why?

To me it seems virtually everyone demands a federal cut and those wishes are more often granted:

AMT - the most needy
Healthcare bills
DoD
Flippers in trouble - RE bailout
Carmakers
....

(to be continued)

Who will pay for all those demands (on top of existing entitlements)?

------------
A footnote: *) A company who is not prepared for the future is doomed. That´s financial darwinism. One asks: Is it really necessary pay for irresponsible carmakers who squandered their profits and did not invest in new technologies by themselves?
