Does it matter to you if it was artificial radiation or natural radiation from sun or soil that created mutations? Least predictable outcome is from crosses of two different species (as plot hybrid of plum and apricot or nectarine) New plant can contain completely new secondary metabolites (like alkaloids) that have not been present in either of original species.
