There is a felonious belief in this country that rich people do so many great things for this country, they should be virtually untouchable. And its gotten worse over the last two decades.

Rich people are very fortunate to be doing business in the US. That means they need to pay their fair share......not gain benefits like they have under Bush.

There is a fallacious belief that rich people are great malefactors who are rich because they rip off the poor. Your statement that they're lucky their existence is tolerated here is just a sign of your braindead Marxism.

This is a myth:

In fact hardly any rich people get rich or maintain their wealth by ripping off or holding down the poor. Do rich people contribute to the economy? Of course as both consumers and investors. And in fact, they do pay a disproportionate share of taxes.

Take a look at the liberals on this thread. You see them boasting of their hatred for the rich and for Republicans, attacking a disabled veteran getting a pension, expressing scorn for our military and Christianity, comparing suicide bombers to Christ (JfShepard), declaring adultery, lying about it, and putting one's mistress on the campaign payroll is "no big deal" (JohnFowler) if the politician is a Democrat, boasting about traveling hundreds of miles to "date" prostitutes, cruising laundromats in hopes of seducing pregnant women, trading lodging for sex from homeless women(Chris), lying about Reagan campaigning as a racist(CJ), .....

and declaring themselves the moral elite to cap all that off.

All of which is neutralized by the right's love of war and money.

No one loves war. To claim otherwise is to lie in an attempt to demonize ones opponents.

And liberals appreciate money every bit as much as conservatives. I understand some of them are particularly fond of expenseive foreign luxury cars.
