Well JF.. that's a whole other discussion. Given that corporations pass on their tax burden to the consumers anyway, it's really the consumers who get double taxed.. by way of higher prices, as well as sales taxes.

Sometimes I think the best way to tax is to just tax consumption directly. Maybe a National sales tax on all purchase and doing away with income taxes all together.

Btw, according to this article XOM paid $30 Billion in taxes in 2007 (41% tax rate)
