Saying you've "defeated" al Queada is like the Russians saying in 1920 that they had defeated Christianity in the Soviet Union.

You don't defeat belief systems.

It wasn't until the Sunnis in Iraq decided that there wasn't much percentage in teaming up and protecting those guys that al Queada really got driven out.

If the Shiites overplay their hand and start persecuting the Sunnis, you'll see al Quaeda (or whatever new name they use) right back in there. The Saudis will even fund it.
