All you needed to know to decide whether or not to buy the ten year was an understanding that we are in a period of economic slowdown -- that has nothing to do with deflation. As for the future, the ten year is likely to be a very risky bet. Those who made big bucks in recent years were not in treasuries -- they have been in commodities and they have been there for years. They have also been outside the dollar -- anybody holding Canadian bonds has vastly outperformed US treasuries. By the way, you have a squeaky little online voice that sounds a bit like little fingernails on a chalk board -- I usually ignore your sad little posts. Good luck if you are holding treasuries at this point.
