"Windows NT 4.0 will generate $billions in upgrades. NT is the
business upgrade of choice. It's a true client-server operating
system backed by the largest software company in the world."

Try and remember that Win NT 4.0 has limited Direct X support and
no support for the Microsoft Direct 3-D API. NT 4.0 is extraordinarily
limited relative to Win 95 when it comes to the utilization of the latest
video hardware and multimedia equipment. NT is not yet truly suitable
for generating the type of multimedia extravaganzas one can
create with an OS like Win 95.

I personally don't expect Win NT to catch on until the next iteration,
due sometime in early '98. Presuming Microsoft adheres to its own
schedule for once, the next version of Win NT will contain the missing
multimedia extensions and support for the Direct 3-D API.
