My comment is to his tone of voice -- his posts directed to me have almost always had a nasty and whiny tone. I never begrudge anybody making money -- most people on these threads are looking for something to help them do exactly that. The United States has been in a period of inflation for decades. People make money in treasuries and lose money in treasuries all through inflationary times. To say that an investment in the 10 year note last year in August made sense is correct, although many other investments were far better. To say that it is because we are in a deflation is just ridiculous.
