I think that eggs became pariahs because of their cholesterol back in the day, not their sat fat. When folks dis eggs, that's usually their frame of reference. Dietary cholesterol has since become much less of an issue and eggs have become more acceptable in most quarters. As for sat fat, that is still concerning but not as much as it once was, either. But an egg has only 1.5 grams. That's hardly enough to be worth worrying about, IMO. A hamburger has 9 grams. That, one might reasonably worry about.

I eat two eggs every day for breakfast. Like you said, they're easy, cheap, tasty, etc., and they drop my blood glucose, which for some reason creeps up overnight, like a rock. What concerns me most about them is the Omega 9, which is why I've switched to free range chicken eggs, which have more Omega 3 and balance the Omega 9.
