It seems like everybody keeps waiting (hoping?) for the last shoe to drop. IMO, when people expect something like that, it almost never happens as hoped for.

It's usually something out of left field that precipitates blood in the streets, not something that's been telegraphed for months.

But that's just me. What do I know.
