Gene - Re: "Many of the people on this thread are power users and tend to view user needs from their standpoint. "

A similar argument can be made that some people are casual. lightweight users of a PC and its capabilities and assume they represent the "majority" of users.

The majority decides with their purchases and I don't believe anyone on this or any other thread has been voted the spokesman for the majority.

In the past, every new Intel processor has presented significantly more power than its predecessor.

And what has the "majority" decided to purchase?

And how many have complained thet their new machines were "too powerful", and returned them for a refund?
