Remember......

....Mr. McCain took a swipe at Mr. Romney for being the “candidate of change,” but she asked Mr. Romney what was necessarily so “wrong with changing one’s mind.”

“Some politicians, as I said, are more interested in insults than issues,” Mr. Romney said.

He went on to talk about his change from being a supporter of abortion rights to an opponent.

“If you want somebody who’s never changed their mind, then you’re to find somebody who often times sticks with the wrong view,” said Mr. Romney, singling out Mr. McCain’s statement on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday morning that he would have voted against the Bush tax cuts again. “Ronald Reagan 101 was that lowering taxes helps working families, grows the economy and creates more revenue for government.”

Mr. Romney added: “Now he’s consistent, but he’s wrong, and I’ll take being right over being consistent every day of the week.”
