Hawk, we're in complete disagreement. You say drilling for oil is like incubating a new industry and that is absolutely false. Oil is a very old industry and it's parameters are well mapped out. Alternatives are a new industry and needs to be incubated to make sure it reaches lift off.

If you can't see that, then I take back what I said about you earlier. For a brief moment there, you seemed like someone who got why it's important to diversify our energy sources. It's seems that you aren't getting it now. Not sure what changed in your world. Did the neocons get to you? ;)
