AGREE....there is quite a difference between major investor and majority share holder...just ask the folks at QED. QED is taking there foundry business to TSM even though IDT has a 36% ownership position in QED.QED is activly competing with IDT in the embedded microprocessor market. The MIPS 50xx from QED is being marketed as a replacement/ next generation of IDT's 46xx MIPS processor. The shareholders do need much more information on IDT's startup investments....these are high risk.When the high reward pans out the main winner should be IDT. The Salinas plant purchase from Berg and subsiquent writeoff as being unusable by IDT still needs explaining. The large amounts of money,intectual property and personel resources IDT has invested in startups needs to be completly and clearly stated as to how much ,when and why. Why with such big margins they can only find capacity to mfg 1 MILLION winchips a year even if demand is 2 or 10 times this. This runs directly into only having the Oregon fab at 32% capacity are other less lucritive products going to be made in Oregon and if so why? What is the plan for getting Oregon up to 100% and what will the product mix be? This is not a witch hunt or an angry shareholder response.These are reasonable requests that Management and the Board of Directors be accountable to the shareholders of IDT.That they expain and make public how they are managing IDT's resources. charlie
