Ann: Congrats on admitting the surge is a success--many Dems are still in denial on that fact. Why take a defeatist attitutde towards the future of Iraq, when you really have no idea what will happen? koan: it has nothing to do with having a defeatist attitude. It has to do with picking one's fights. We cannot fight every fight. The world is full of despots. Getting Bin laden was Bush's number 1 job and he failed! Dealing with Russia, China, Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan were jobs 2,3,4,5 and 6. He failed with these as well. Iraq was nothing but a brush fire Bush decided to waste three trillion dollars on, and which helped Iran and ground down our military. For nothing gained!
