If Obama becoming president doesn't break the cycle of moral, social, and material poverty African-Americans find themselves in, then there will be nothing left for them to blame but themselves.


Ten, you have to stop thinking of Obama as a messiah or a Jesus. He will be able to make changes but he won't eradicate poverty or hunger. In fact, his benefit to the black community will be more psychological: for the first time in US history, its possible to be black and to aspire to the presidency. That's huge.
