Several weeks ago, Idexx announced it was taking a loss due to unexpected large inventories in its distributors warehouses ( or so I understood....could be wrong.) This does not make sense to me. One distributor can be a goof ball, but not all....usually, they keep pretty close watch. on their inventories....Or was it a situation where Idexx was selling product on a guaranteed sales basis in order to boost earnings? I have not been able to get a satisfactory answer to this question. Can you or anyone shed some light on the matter?
