The old people in our country are the poorest people in our country. Fully one third of the country's old people depend on social security entirely.

They pay into social security their whole life and it saves so many people from living their winter years in abject poverty.

The social security program came out of the New Deal. And, IMO, was the greatest program we ever conceived of with the exception of unions which protect the worker.

Do you know any old people on social security? Ask them what they think of social security.
