MY take on tonight's speech. Too Messianic. Mixed the roles of political leader and spiritual leader. We want a President not a preacher. We are not starting a church here. Democrats are not supposed to be "our brother's keeper"--Chistians are. Democrats manage government to even the playing field between the strong and the weak, the rich and the poor--not to save their souls. If it makes anyone feel any better after I expressed these views to my wife she stopped talking to me and went to bed.
