<Would you truly argue that those statements have the appearance of being positive and objective remarks?> Objective yes, positive, no. I believe you've missed the point. I have no problem with negative comments about stocks. The clippings I pasted were an effort to show what constitutes, in my opinion, attacks on people and not the stock. They are broad brush and condescending. I understand you may have taken offense to my opinions about those comments, but I believe they are supported by the dialogue in this thread.

I agree, many folks take exception to comments when offense was never intended. Though...Does this comment look familiar?

<I believe those numbers are their IQs. [snicker]>

<Some folks, it seems to me, are out there waiting - arms outspread - just waiting to take personal offense at any and all comments with which they have disagreement.>

<Well, Joe, I guess I'm not as sure about some things as are you.> Should I not take offense at this thinly veiled attempt to impugn me ;-)

Again, my point is simply why some folks get thrown off SI, it's not just because of negative comments on stocks. That's all. I'll apologize for adding my "slant" on those comments.
